Discrepancies in the Gospels

If you’ve read the Gospels there’s only a matter of time before you run into a variation of an event. One Gospel says that a certain event occurred one way while another Gospel may say it happened slightly different. For instance, the account of the empty tomb. No two Gospels describe this event identically. The Gospel of Matthew says that two women (Mary Magdalene and the other Mary) arrived at dawn and that an Angel came down from Heaven, rolled back the stone and spoke to the women telling them that “Jesus has Risen” after which they both took off to inform the disciples. John details it that Mary Magdalene did not speak to an Angel concerning Jesus until after she had first went and told the disciples that the tomb was empty.

Do these discrepancies discredit the Gospels?

On the contrary they add credibility to the Gospels!

Variation in stories is what we should expect from eye witness testimonies!

Matthew, Mark, Luke and John were written by different people at different times. If all four Gospels lined up identically, word for word it would suggest that all four authors were inclusion.

The minor discrepancies of the empty tomb do not take away from the main point that all four authors agree happened and that’s that Jesus has RISEN!

Which Road?

Despite what today’s world tries to convince us, all roads do not lead to God. In fact there is but one way and one road. I say that with a joyful yet saddened heart. Joyful because I now walk on that one road. Saddened because I know many who do not and never will. There comes a point in our lives that we must examine what the world says vs what Jesus says. Is Jesus a liar? Is He God in the flesh? Did He truly come down to die for our sins? More importantly did He truly die and rise again three days later? I ask all who read this…Which road are you on?

“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.”

Matthew 7:13-14 NIV #idefinfatherhood

The Great “I Am”

The Great I AM!!!

Lol I don’t know why that hits me so hard!

Before Abraham. I AM!!!! 🙌🏾

Jesus birth was not His Beginning!

He ALWAYS existed!

BEFORE Abraham I AM!!!

“Your father Abraham rejoiced at the thought of seeing my day; he saw it and was glad.” “You are not yet fifty years old,” they said to him, “and you have seen Abraham!” “Very truly I tell you,” Jesus answered, “before Abraham was born, I am!””

John 8:56-58 NIV

Law of Gravity

The late British theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking wants the creation to exist before the creator! The law of gravity is just that, it’s a law. And where do laws come from? From a law maker. Gravity isn’t capable of creating life it has zero intelligence. It merely does what it is was created to do. If I drop a pencil, gravity isn’t thinking to its self “I’m going to pull this pencil down.” It pulls the pencil down because that’s what it was created to do!The law of gravity only exist because God made it a law, outside of which it would never even exist! . #apologetics101 #Jesusistruth #God #love #idefinefatherhood

Let us not neglect one another

And that’s why we need the church. Not the building but the people. God didn’t call us into His family just to stay separated. We. Those who have made Jesus Lord of our lives, are NOW children of God. No Father finds pleasure in seeing His children at odds or far from one another. As the late great theologian Michael Jackson once said…. #cometogether 😎😉😁

As for me and my Household.

The worship of “Gods” is nothing new. Painted across documented history are the beliefs and following of a God. This very day we have many religions and idols being worshiped throughout the world. We even have splintered cults that incorporate many of the Judeo Christian beliefs into their religion, but twist it in a way that makes it alluring to those who do not agree with the unchanging word of God.

I’ve searched.

I’ve researched.

I examined many faiths.

None are like the grace and mercy and relationship that Jesus Christ offers.

The world is changing. Moving further and further away from Jesus.

I will not follow a trend. I will not worship dead ancestors and burn sage or follow Muhammad or praise Buddha or seek wisdom on the lips of those who speak death.

Do what seems right to you, but as for me and my household. WE WILL SERVE THE LORD. #childofGod #disciple #God #Jesus #idols #Holyspirit #idefinefatherhood

The Good News

There TRULY is nothing like sharing the Gospel to an eager ear. An attentive ear! To witness light start to swell in another’s eyes. The spark that starts it all. The spark that we all have experienced. The day we questioned and listened and wondered. “Is it true?” “Are you truly real?” “Show me Jesus…”

Have you ever shared the Good News? The good news of God’s kingdom? The Good News of the righteous and holy King Jesus?!

Wherever you are you are there for a purpose. You have been placed there to impact an environment!

All the positions that the Lord has blessed me with, I have been placed amongst those who need to hear the Good News!

The Good News that we no longer have to obey the unholy law of this world! Of this fallen kingdom! But that a new kingdom has come upon us and the King of this Kingdom is perfect! He’s awesome and amazing and beautiful and merciful, kind and power!

Don’t dread where you are. Utilize this time to impact those around you by sharing the Gospel!

Lives are eager to change if only someone would share with them.

Hidden words

“But who can discern their own errors? Forgive my hidden faults. Keep your servant also from willful sins; may they not rule over me. Then I will be blameless, innocent of great transgression.”

Psalm 19:12-13 NIV

Just as important as what proceeds from our mouths is what is formed within our hearts. The hidden and silent words that only the Lord knows exist.

May the words of our hearts be just as pleasing as the words from our mouth.

Irritable Not

Are you known by your temper? Are you irritable, easily provoked and quick to lash out? Do people feel they have to walk on eggshells around you because your anger precedes you?

No one wants to be in the company of someone who is always close to the edge of exploding. Scripture tells us that anger does not produce the righteousness of God (James 1:20). So if you’re constantly giving in to your anger and are easily provoked it’s time to take a second and reassess the situation.

My temper was one of my biggest challenges that I had to overcome. Indeed I prayed about it. And in all honesty I haven’t mastered it yet, but I’m happy to say, that because of God’s word it now takes a lot for me to be pushed over the edge.

I use to take offense to everything, but it’s different now.

I’ve learned to control my anger as well as my tongue. Even when someone bad mouths me or hurts my feelings, I’ve learned not to be so quick to react.

It’s the worst when the one who has wronged you is your family or someone close, but it takes discipline aka the Lord’s training to rise above that and even more training to be able to express your feelings without losing control or being mean.

Let us who call Jesus Lord not be known by our quick temper.

Let us instead be known by our love, our composure and our forgiveness.

A fool gives full vent to their rage, but the wise bring calm in the end (Proverbs 29:11).

He knew us before the womb

If the unknowing were to look at this picture, they would probably think that this was a joyous moment. Whatever This man is signing it must’ve been something good, a victory to say the least.

But when I look at this picture I’m filled with great sadness. I cringe. And it moves me to withdraw to prayer.

Who would’ve thought that the ending of innocent and defenseless life would be greeted with celebration and smiles??

It’s heartbreaking 😔😔

On January 22,2019 the governor of New York signed into state law the Reproductive Health Act. A law that would allow late term abortions up till the moment of birth. It also expanded the scope of who can administer abortions and decriminalized abortions performed late term where the mothers health is not in danger.

So basically a baby can be aborted anytime during pregnancy and can be administered by almost anyone with a health education background without worry of repercussions.

Despite what you may believe or think LIFE as we understand it BEGINS AT CONCEPTION. Period. The word of God tells us that He knew us before the foundation of the world!

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you.” Jeremiah 1:5. This verse was directed towards the prophet Jeremiah but, it stands true for all of us. Do you honestly think that the Lord is surprised by any conception that takes place on this earth??

God has known each and every one of us before we knew ourselves! Isn’t that amazing?!

Don’t try and tell me that life isn’t life just because it is unborn or cannot speak for itself.

This Health Act is not the way. Pray for all those who celebrated it and for all those who will seek to take advantage of it. Pray that God’s love draws them near. Pray that the error is brought to light and that this Health Act is repealed sooner rather then later. #Heknewusbeforethewomb #Jesus #Love #God #Holyspirit #life #idefinefatherhood
